OXFORD - CAMBRIDGE EXPRESSWAY
Government have announced that the preferred corridor for the Oxford – Cambridge Expressway will be corridor ‘B’. This is the corridor that aligns most closely with the East-West Rail route and was the Milton Keynes Council’s preferred corridor, chosen in order to maximise potential growth in the Oxford-MK-Cambridge Arc.
This corridor will pass through Milton Keynes Borough and Highways England will now commence the process of designing a specific route, involving extensive further consultation with local people to find the best options. The Council will work with Highways England to ensure this consultation is transparent and comprehensive.
The road is scheduled to be open to traffic by 2030.
